Fork + Cork at the Summerfield Waldorf School & Farm

In this edition of Fork + Cork, Ziggy the Wine Gal and local celebrity Chef Duskie Estes of Zazu Restaurant, will have a discussion on what it takes to make great meals that celebrate the place we live. The focus will be on local, organic and sustainable farming, meals and wine! Part of the ‘Speakers Corner’ series at the Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm, this event is a casual conversation on preserving a sense of place in everyday eating. This event is aimed to inspire the home cook to incorporate local food and wines into their cooking and learn where their ingredients are coming from. Special guests will include friends from Davis Family Vineyards and Redwood Hill Creamery. This event is absolutely free to attend. Donations to Summerfield will be graciously accepted. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday April 25, at the Sophia Hall at the Summerfield Waldorf School, located at 655 Willowside Road in Santa Rosa, Ca.

Fork + Cork, a Benefit for Homeward Bound of Marin

Join the ever-dynamic duo from Sonoma County – Ziggy The Wine Gal and celebrity Chef Duskie Estes for a benefit for the Fresh Starts Cooking School, part of Homeward Bound of Marin. Homeward Bound is an organization aimed at ending homelessness with training, homes and hope. This fun event will showcase a farm-fresh menu prepared by celebrity Chef Duskie and the Homeward Bound team, featuring produce from the organic and biodynamically rich farm of the famed Benzinger Family Winery. Chef Duskie will engage the guests with a cooking demo and Ziggy will lead a wine tasting alongside dinner with Benziger wines.
